Columbus Ohio Landscape Architecture and Garden Design
Working with people to Create beautiful, long lasting places for enjoying life
I am a landscape architect and garden designer based in Columbus, Ohio. I work with clients to design gardens for living in their homes, schools, restaurants, workplaces and places of worship.
The homeowners were looking for a new front yard for their Georgian style home in Bexley. They had just added a new rain harvesting system to collect water from their roof for an irrigation system and needed to hide the access points to the underground tanks. They also wanted to add a passenger drop-off, front entry patio and fountain to the front of the property.
We worked together to develop a plan that met their needs and provide beauty and change throughout the year while keeping with the style of the home. This project was the recipient of an Ohio Nursery and Landscape Association Award, and a home on the CLA garden tour.
This garden was designed last fall and is waiting to be built later this year. I worked with the clients to design a place for reading, relaxing, eating, gardening and playing.
The owner of this home wanted to create a new landscape full of native plants. The garden includes a wide variety of native flowers and grasses. We have worked together over the last few years to install the garden in phases.
Food and Flora Garden
At my home garden in Columubus, Ohio I have created a space where I can experiment with a large variety of plants, but still have and organized looking garden. My wife and I have a large vegetable and cutting garden and fruit trees and vines. The back of the yard is screened with espaliered fruit trees and the side yard fence is a trellis for wine grapes. We are hoping for our first vintage this year and plan to add a patio and overhead grape arbor this winter.

The owner of this cottage wanted to create a comfortable area to enjoy a fire and watch the surrounding woods and creek. The patio and firepit are cut into the hillside below the nearby deck, this gives the space a cozy protected feel, and focuses views to the nearby stream and woods.
The homeowners were looking to create privacy and interest around their new pool. We strove to create the feeling of swimming in a garden. The plantings are designed to be full and changing throughout the year.
This project is currently under development. The clients and I worked together to design a garden with a dry creek with a winding path and a meditation pavilion.
